These terms cover your use of SolarPanelFinder, a directory that ranks Greater Toronto Area solar companies under one published formula and publishes the contact details each one publishes about itself. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Effective date: September 7, 2026.
What is SolarPanelFinder, and what is it not?
It is an information service, and it is not a referral service. It publishes rankings and cost research. It does not take quote requests, does not introduce you to anyone and passes nothing about you to any listed business: you contact whoever you choose, using the details published on their profile. SolarPanelFinder does not sell, design, install, wire, inspect or service solar equipment, holds no electrical contractor licence, and is not a party to any agreement you reach with a company you find here. Any contract for work, and every warranty attached to it, is strictly between you and that business.
Is the listing and ranking information guaranteed?
Everything here is provided as-is. We work to keep listings, ratings and researched pricing accurate, but do not warrant that any detail is complete, current or free of error, and a ranking is our editorial output from a published formula. A high position is not a certification, an endorsement, an approval, or any statement about a company's licensing, insurance, workmanship or conduct. Verify the details and get written quotes before you hire anyone.
You are listed here and did not ask to be. How do you change or remove it?
No company applied to be in this directory. Listings are compiled from public records, so if yours is wrong, out of date, or you simply do not want it here, write to hello@solarpanelfinder.ca with the business name exactly as it appears on the page and say what should change or that you want the profile taken down. That address is read by a person and is the only channel this site operates. A removal is actioned on the next data pass. A correction is checked against the public source first, because a change that contradicts what Google Maps currently shows would be overwritten at the next refresh.
Removal costs nothing and there is nothing to buy. Correcting a profile never moves a company up the page, because position comes from the published formula alone. The request does not have to come from the owner: anyone may report something that is wrong. The contact page sets out the same route in full, and the privacy policy explains how listing data is handled.
Who is responsible if a job goes wrong?
You are responsible for choosing and dealing with any company. SolarPanelFinder is not liable for the quality, safety, timing, pricing, code compliance or legality of work carried out by a company you find here, nor for any equipment supplied, any output a system does or does not produce, or any warranty a company fails to honour. Any dispute, claim, damage or loss arising from that relationship is between you and that business. Confirm licensing, insurance and references first, and get it in writing.
Where does the review data come from?
Ratings and reviews shown here are taken from public Google Maps data and remain the property of Google and of the people who wrote them. Google and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC, which neither sponsors nor endorses this site. Business names, logos, equipment brands and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and directory purposes only.
Who owns the content on this site?
The SolarPanelFinder name, the site design, the rankings, the written cost research and the original data compilations belong to SolarPanelFinder and are protected by intellectual property law. You may read and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not scrape, copy, resell or republish the rankings, the dataset or the written content in bulk without written permission, and automated harvesting of the site is not permitted.
How may you use the site?
Read it, and write to us if something on it is wrong. Do not use the site to send spam, to impersonate anyone, to make false correction or removal claims, or to interfere with how the site runs. Bulk copying of the listings is not permitted. Messages that look fraudulent or abusive may be ignored or blocked, which protects both the readers of the site and the companies listed on it.
What are the limits of liability?
To the fullest extent Ontario law permits, SolarPanelFinder is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from any contractor relationship, and total liability for any claim is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Can these terms change?
Yes. When a material change is made, the revised terms are posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them. It is worth reviewing this page and the privacy policy from time to time.
What law applies?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute about this site or these terms.
